Yep! Virtually everyone pays those taxes. They're the Social Security and Medicare taxes. There are very rare exceptions but for the average taxpayer they will never apply.

If you are a U.S. citizen, resident or have work visa like L1, H1-B, you must pay these (FICA) taxes. If you are exempt from residency on J1, F1, then you do not pay these taxes.

There are only two exceptions:
students in college working for their schools
foreign students accepted on certain visa types unless they have been here too long.
